Introduction

OCLiA is a highly interactive three day workshop that provides a practical, experiential introduction to ontological coaching. Participants will explore the essence of this powerful methodology and learn how to apply it in both coaching and leadership practice, for personal and professional transformation.

The workshop will be led by Oliver Love and Alan Sieler, both highly experienced facilitators and coaches who have applied ontological methodologies in leadership, coaching, and organisational transformation with senior business leaders across Asia.

Your three-day journey

Day 1: Foundation building

  • We’ll explore what the ontological approach is really all about
  • You’ll get an overview of the coaching model and understand “Way of Being”
  • We’ll dive into being a learner and identify what might be holding you back
  • You’ll discover why the body is so crucial in coaching and leadership
  • We’ll explore moods and emotions as springboards for action
  • You’ll learn about listening as the foundation of all communication

Day 2: Putting it into practice

  • We’ll reflect on what you learned and any overnight insights
  • You’ll do a self-coaching exercise using what you’ve learned
  • We’ll explore how language both describes and creates reality
  • You’ll work through the elements of trust and how to build it
  • We’ll cover how to make clear requests and offers that actually work

Day 3: Integration and moving forward

  • More reflection and integration of learning
  • We’ll tackle how to deal with breakdowns constructively
  • You’ll learn to manage requests and promises more effectively
  • We’ll go through the basic principles of ontological coaching conversations
  • You’ll practice coaching conversations that include working with the body

Throughout all three days, you’ll be reflecting, self-coaching, and coaching others. These approaches work whether you’re focusing on self-development, leading teams, or coaching others.
